About Your Lantern Benefit
- Lantern is available to Premera Health Savings Plan members and their covered dependents.*
- Lantern provides eligible members enrolled in the Premera Health Savings Plan (HSP) access to a curated network of surgical providers for eligible procedures, while your Premera medical plan remains unchanged.
- A dedicated Care Advocate can help you understand eligible procedures, find participating surgeons and providers, and navigate your surgical care from start to finish. Call Lantern at (855) 317-8684 to get started.
- Using Lantern is your choice. Your Premera HSP also covers eligible surgical care outside Lantern, subject to the plan’s coverage and cost-sharing requirements.
- To receive the Lantern benefit for an eligible procedure, you must coordinate your surgery through Lantern before the procedure.
- After you meet your Premera HSP deductible, coinsurance is waved for eligible procedures coordinated through Lantern.
- In order to take advantage of your Lantern benefit, you must call prior to any planned procedures taking place.
- Lantern supports many planned, non-emergency surgical procedures. Emergency services are not coordinated through Lantern.
- If you are already seeing a provider for a planned procedure, call to confirm if your current provider is a part of Lantern’s provider network.
*Lantern, an independent provider of non-emergent surgical care, does not provide Blue Cross Blue Shield products or services. Lantern is solely responsible for its products and services.
