John Zutter

CEO

John Zutter is CEO of Lantern, a digital health company focused on accessible specialty network solutions, bundled payments, and centers of excellence. Lantern’s networks provide access to thousands of surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists at over 500 facilities. An industry outsider who joined in 2016 as a turnaround leader, John saw Lantern’s unique potential to connect the American workforce with the very best specialists, improving access to excellent care at dramatically lower costs – both to individual members and to their employers. Under John’s leadership, Lantern grew from 100,000 members to more than 5 million, now serving hundreds of self-funded plan sponsors across 1000+ employers. In late 2022, John spearheaded Lantern’s expansion to cancer care, launching the industry’s first end-to-end oncology solution and cementing Lantern as one of the country’s largest participants in the employer-focused digital health space. John joined Lantern after leading a majority investment in the company from Dundon Capital Partners, a multi-billion AUM alternative investment management company, where he served as a co-founding Partner. Prior roles include serving on the executive leadership team of Santander Consumer USA, and as a Vice President within the investment bank at the New York office of J.P. Morgan. John graduated from Colgate University and completed the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth. He’s a native New Yorker turned Texan who now proudly calls Dallas home with his wife, four children, and two dogs.
